Our time together began on a fall day when I picked her up from the breeders home. She was just 7 weeks old and as cute as a bugs ear. From day one she won over our hearts and ruled the house. First came the traditional puppy shots, then we had her spayed. She was a lovable little doxie who was full of energy. But as she got older she began to slow down and seem to lay around a lot. We didn't over feed her yet she put on weight. Then the summer of 2005 seemed a rough one for her. She started wetting on the floor and I knew there was something wrong. She would keep me up at night with her. So I took her to the vet and he gave her a shot of antibiotic. She seemed to do better until right before Thanksgiving in 2005 when she took a turn for the worse. Again I took her to the vet who placed her on a strict diet and said she had to loose ten pounds. One week and five pounds later she was one sick little doggie. I asked the vet to see her on a friday but he said just come in and get something for her nausea. Well by Sunday night I was rushing one sick little doxie to emergency who diagnosed her with severe pancreatitis. They put her on IV's right away and transfered her to MSU. They did everything that thet could do to save her life but it was too late. Her liver had split open and she had developed pneumonia. We Lost OUR LITTLE GIRL THAT COLD WINTRY MORNING. Thanksgiving was a hard one that year.
